#2 look what you've done Sendong!
I was fast asleep that night when Sendong suddenly hit our city. I was in full shocked when I heard about the news the following day. But the night before that tragedy, I was at my best friend's house having some fun. I almost got trapped due to the heavy rain that poured. But it all suddenly stopped so I was able to go home and slept. Never have I imagined that, that rain would cause some lives gone. After the heavy rain and the floods that it caused, I roamed around the city to check the damaged it has caused to my fellow Iliganons. I was deeply saddened when I first saw the damaged done by the typhoon Sendong. I saw many dead bodies lying on the streets while waiting for their relatives who were able to survive to pick them up and give them decent burial. I was also able to go to one of the most damaged places here in Iligan, the Orchid Homes. I was a little frightened knowing that my dentist, which happened to be my mom's close friends, lives there. And I was relieved when I heard that he and his family were fine even though almost all of their belongings were wiped out or damaged. But aside from the things that Sendong destroyed, it caused so much pain to the hearts of the people. It was Christmas season and they lost their homes, especially their loved ones. We know that time will heal the wounds but it's not that easy to forget the tragedy that really left a very big scar in each and everyone'e heart, especially to those who lost their loved ones. But, we, Filipinos, are very positive in all ways. Filipinos around the globe worked hand in hand in helping the victims stand up and start a new life again, a fresh beginning that would help the scars heal. Let us continue working together and let us show the world how Filipinos love and care for each other. Fight! :)
